Progress toward Preservation, 2012
What has been completed so far.

  1. Asbestos removed
  2. Downstairs projection booth removed
  3. Balcony reopened
  4. New sound system, seating, and carpeting purchased with Tourism funding
  5. Pipes laid under auditorium floor for electrical for sounds, lights, etc.
  6. Five zoned air conditioners and two new furnaces installed
  7. Wiring replaced throughout most of the building
  8. Sprinkler system installed
  9. Plaster walls repaired in bad spots
  10. Ceiling repaired over lobby area
  11. New handicapped-accessible restrooms (8) added on first floor
  12. Dressing rooms and 2 new restrooms on second floor (4 stalls)
  13. Original 90-year old marble floor in lobby & marble stairways & molding uncovered
  14. Lobby and mezzanine re-carpeted and painted
  15. New glass doors and windows installed in front
  16. New lighting fixtures for lobby & mezzanine
  17. Water fountain installed
  18. Mural painted on ceiling (donated) by Marla Profancik Trone
  19. Tile laid in restrooms & closets
  20. Interior Design items added

What could be done with volunteer help?

  1. Painting of walls and plaster decoration in balcony
  2. Painting walls of main theatre
  3. General cleaning
  4. Promotion & fundraising

And then...

  1. The tile will be laid and seats installed on the main floor
  2. Carpeting and seating will be installed in balcony
  3. Sound system will be installed and checked. Conduit finished.
  4. Electrical work finished
  5. Stage refurbished
